Electrical Equipment Dismantler

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Dismantling and tear down of electrical transformers using various power tools and sorting metals while working in plant
  • Sorting ballasts, cleaning materials, PCB sampling and unloading trucks
  • Use of overhead crane and forklift to move materials
  • Completing applicable paperwork including daily production log
  • General housekeeping and other duties as assigned
  • Regular travel throughout Ontario when not working in plant including providing transformer oil draining services and Electrical Equipment removal at customer sites
  • Follow and adhere to all related company policies and health and safety procedures

Qualifications

  • Experience with transformers considered an asset
  • Experience using power and hand tools
  • Knowledge of electrical equipment including transformers, circuit breakers, pumps and vacuum systems considered an asset
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Able to obtain a security clearance
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and capable of doing physical work

Wage is $16 dollars to start. Willingness to start on contract initially with the potential for permanent full time hire. We offer drug benefits, dental/vision, RRSP matching benefits and discretionary incentive program after six months of employment.
