This position is primarily for the day shift (8am to 4:30pm) but must also be willing to work the evening shift (with notice) to meet the needs of the company. This position starts at $18/hour. Must be willing and able to work overtime on an 'as needed' basis.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow the direction of the team leader for the shift
  • Forklift operations as required
  • Working in the Waste Bulking, Transformer Processing, Sorting, Lamp Tube, and any other areas of the facility as required
  • Snow removal
  • Maintain workspace tidiness and organization
  • Assisting loading and unloading from trucks, ensuring load is secured according to, or exceeding standards
  • General shop cleaning and equipment maintenance
  • Other related duties as directed.


  • Minimum high school diploma
  • Minimum of three (3) years' related work experience preferred
  • Preferred waste management industry experience
  • Ability to work both day (8am-5pm) and evening (4:30pm-0:30am) shifts as required by operational needs
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Overnights and out of town work may be required from time to time
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • General math skills – ability to compare before and after weights
  • Strong work ethic
  • Class 5 Drivers License
