Helping Those That Help Others

Hope Mission’s outreach and shelter programs regularly see materials left behind by clients and service users, some of which include used or discarded flammable butane cylinders. While these items can be useful for survival outdoors, they also pose significant fire, explosion, and environmental risks if not handled properly.

For a non-profit focused on frontline care, managing hazardous waste safely can be both complex and costly. Hope Mission needed a trusted partner to ensure that these materials were being disposed of responsibly, without diverting significant amounts of critical funds away from their social programs. Recognizing the importance of Hope Mission’s work, Aevitas stepped in to provide labour, technical expertise, and proper disposal of the used butane cylinders at no charge to Hope Mission.

This collaboration provided more than just a disposal service – it reinforced a shared commitment to community wellbeing and environmental stewardship.

Community Safety: The removal of hazardous materials helped create safer conditions in and around Hope Mission facilities.

Social Impact: By eliminating disposal costs, Aevitas enabled Hope Mission to direct more resources toward what matters most – meals, shelter, and recovery programs.

Aevitas, thank you for your excellent and timely service. Your professionalism, clear communication throughout the process, and reliability in picking up the butane containers as scheduled made a challenging situation very manageable for our team. With your assistance, Aevitas, in safely disposing of these cylinders, we are taking another meaningful step forward — maintaining a secure environment while providing dignity and hope to those we have the privilege to serve.

With sincere appreciation,
