Employee Winter Coat Drive

Edmonton Coat Drive Drop Off

Aevitas organized a company-wide winter coat drive giving our employees across Canada an opportunity to donate gently used coats to support those in need in their community. The company decided to partner with The Salvation Army Thrift Store network to distribute the donations.

Each facility set up designated collection areas over a 3-day period in late October. Our employees filled forty-nine large boxes with over 100 winter coats, along with toques, mittens, scarves, sweaters, and snowsuits, all destined for Salvation Army Thrift Stores, where they will be given a second life, helping bring warmth and joy to individuals and families in our communities. These donations not only provided comfort during the cold season but also supported the Thrift Stores’ purpose to offer affordable essentials while generating funds for supporting vital Salvation Army programs and services.

In a statement issued by The Salvation Army Thrift Stores, Tonny Coyln wrote, “On behalf of The Salvation Army Thrift Store, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Aevitas Inc. for organizing the recent donation drive event and for your generous contribution of 1,470 lbs of mixed goods. Your support enables us to provide essential programs and services that uplift our local communities, including food banks, shelters for people experiencing homelessness, school programs, camps, addictions rehabilitation, and emergency disaster services.”

The Salvation Army claims the environmental impact of our combined donations is equivalent to planting 684 trees! View the environmental impact certificate below.
