We are committed to fostering a culture of safety, awareness, and responsibility through comprehensive Environmental Health and Safety training programs. These programs are designed to ensure all employees are well-informed, prepared, and empowered to work safely and sustainably across all areas of operation.

Core Training Areas

Environmental Health and Safety Awareness

Employees are introduced to the company’s core EHS values, policies, and goals. This includes an overview of the Safety and Health Policy, the Environmental Policy, and the importance of maintaining a safe and sustainable work environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

This training outlines the duties of employees, supervisors, managers, and EHS committees. Everyone plays a role in creating and maintaining a safe workplace through awareness, action, and accountability.

Employee Rights and Workplace Communication

Covers legal rights under occupational health and safety legislation, including the right to know about hazards, the right to participate in safety matters, and the right to refuse unsafe work. Also includes internal complaint resolution procedures and committee participation.

Hazard Management and Reporting

Employees are trained to identify and report hazards, unsafe conditions, and non- conformances. Includes the process for reporting hazardous occurrences, participating in
investigations, and contributing to a safer work environment.

Environmental Aspects and Impacts

Provides awareness of how daily operations affect the environment and how employees can help reduce negative impacts. Covers waste handling, spill prevention, and environmental compliance responsibilities.

Operational Safety

Covers the safe handling and transportation of materials, cargo securement procedures, equipment checks, and compliance with operational safety standards. Includes training in defensive driving and road safety.

Vehicle and Fleet Safety

Focuses on commercial vehicle operations, including proper use of logbooks, Hours of Service regulations, CVOR requirements, and maintaining a strong safety record. Reinforces the importance of compliance and documentation.

Equipment-Specific Training

Provides hands-on and theoretical training for the safe operation of specialized equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and working in confined spaces. Reinforces pre-use inspections, hazard recognition, and safe procedures.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Ensures employees know when and how to use required PPE, including respirators, hearing protection, fall protection gear, and high-voltage protective equipment. Training includes care, inspection, and proper fit.

Emergency Preparedness

Prepares employees to respond effectively to emergencies such as spills, fires, medical incidents, and evacuations. Includes fire safety procedures, spill response protocols, and first aid awareness.

Tool and Material Handling Safety

Covers the safe use of manual and power tools. Also includes ladder safety, proper lifting techniques, and strategies to prevent musculoskeletal injuries.

Chemical and Material Safety

Includes WHMIS training, safe handling, storage and use of hazardous materials, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), and response procedures for chemical spills and
leaks.

Workplace Safety Practices

Focuses on everyday practices such as good housekeeping, safe walking surfaces, slip/trip/fall prevention, and recognizing potential sources of workplace violence. Promotes awareness and incident prevention.

Management and Oversight

Provides supervisors and managers with tools to demonstrate due diligence, implement the Internal Responsibility System (IRS), conduct inspections, enforce procedures, and lead by example.

Legal and Regulatory Compliance

Explains applicable environmental and occupational health and safety laws, regulatory approvals, permits, and how company procedures align with legal requirements.
