Each year on April 22, Earth Day serves as a global reminder of the importance of protecting our environment. At Aevitas, it’s reflected in the work our employees do every day—helping safeguard our customers, communities, and the planet through responsible waste management and recycling services that reduce environmental impact.
This year, employees across multiple Aevitas locations took that commitment even further by stepping out into their communities and taking direct action.
Cleaning Up Our Communities
As winter recedes, it often leaves behind an unwelcome sight – roadside litter hidden beneath the snow. Several Aevitas employees took the initiative to restore the areas surrounding their facilities.
In Edmonton, a team of nine employees collected 12 large bags of garbage, covering more than 1.7 kilometres of streets within their industrial park. Meanwhile, in Cornwall, employees dedicated several hours to cleaning natural areas near their site, filling four large bags of waste.
These efforts not only improve the appearance of our communities but also help protect local ecosystems from the harmful effects of litter.
Planting for the Future
Environmental stewardship also means investing in the future. Tree planting plays a critical role in combating climate change, supporting biodiversity, and enhancing community well-being.
Employees from Ayr and Brantford locations, joined by family members, came together to plant more than 100 native trees and shrubs at Jaycee Park in Brantford.
Their efforts will contribute to cleaner air, healthier ecosystems, and a greener community for years to come.
A Commitment That Goes Beyond Earth Day
The enthusiasm and dedication shown by Aevitas employees demonstrate that meaningful environmental action doesn’t require grand gestures—just a willingness to step up and make a difference.
Whether it’s through daily operations or volunteer initiatives like these, Aevitas remains committed to protecting the environment and supporting the communities where we live and work.
