Technical Inside Sales Representative – Edmonton

Location: Edmonton, Alberta

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Inside Sales Representative to work out of our Edmonton, Alberta Facility. This is a full-time, permanent position with a total compensation plan including:

  • Starting wage of $20/hour and negotiable based on experience

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understanding of hazardous waste classification and developing waste profile sheets for customers
  • Prospecting for new customers, and developing new business opportunities at existing accounts
  • Mining customer information from external resources and internal files/database to grow sales revenue
  • Responding to customer inquiries in a timely basis and logging details for follow-up
  • Identifying customer’s needs and developing pricing proposals
  • Organizing site meetings between customer and Sales Manager
  • Developing and executing sales orders, working with operations staff to enhance overall customer experience
  • Coordinating customer and household waste drop offs, including all related paperwork
  • Maintaining client relationships and communicating company’s expectations in a clear and professional manner
  • Managing on-boarding process for new customer accounts, to ensure all required paperwork is in order for service and billing purposes
  • Investigating and resolving business related complaints
  • Generating and delivering reporting to customers as required, for their auditing and reporting purposes
  • Working closely with the Sales Manager to generate revenue and achieve long term sales goals
  • Other additional related duties as required by the Sales Manager
  • Complying with legal requirements and internal company policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Certificate or diploma in chemistry an asset
  • One to two years’ experience in an inside sales position an asset (on the job training is provided)
  • Knowledge of hazardous waste industry and chemical classification an asset
  • Proven knowledge of MS Office, e-mail, Internet and CRM applications
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication (verbal/written) and presentation skills
  • Ability to handle several tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to handle confidential issues and information with discretion
  • Good analytical skills and ability to exercise good judgment
  • Ability to interface with all associates and management at all levels
