Community Involvement

We are committed to giving back to the communities in which we live and work.

At Aevitas, we protect communities by responsibly managing hazardous waste and other industrial waste by-products. It doesn’t end there. We believe in giving back by supporting various community organizations and charitable initiatives. As a responsible corporate citizen we are very proud to support the social needs of the communities in which our employees live and work.

United Way and other charitable donations

Every year our employees help the United Way to meet community needs and tackle complex social issues through our payroll deduction donation program. The company matches the employee’s total contribution dollar for dollar to double the annual donation amount. To date, our organization has donated $98,641 to the Waterloo Region United Way.

“We feel that making donations to the United Way is a great way to give back to the community. So many people rely on the United Way for all kinds of support and social services, and we are proud to help.”

– Tom Maxwell, co-founder of Aevitas

Other charitable organizations that we have contributed to are:

  • Kirkland Lake Public Library
  • Sick Kids Hospital
  • Toronto People with Aids Foundation
  • Upper Thames River Conservation
  • Wounded Warriors
